Amundsen S. Barillaire, 87

Campbell: Private family funeral services were held today at the Wasko Funeral Home with Father Gerald DeLucia officiating for Amundsen S. Barillaire, 87 who passed away Monday morning in St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Amundsen was born Feb. 28, 1922 in Campbell the son of Guy and Carlotta Tuura Barillari and was a life long area resident.
He graduated from Campbell Memorial High School, where he was a star football player and went on to attend Notre Dame University and Washington State University where he also played football.  After college he joined the San Francisco 49ers organization and played professional football.
He was a member of St. Lucy Church, the Eagles and the Campbell Gridiron Club and was employed by Superior Beverage Company as a truck driver.
Amundsen leaves to cherish his memory 6 nieces and nephews, William R. (Cheryl) Barillaire of Columbiana, Carlyann (Bill) Markusic of Poland, Jane (Ron) Rowe of Poland, Sam (Janet) Barillaire of Poland, MaryAnn Sheen of New Castle and Sally Richmond of Vienna, Virginia; 2 sister-in-laws Mary Barillaire (Fred) and Emma Barillaire (Bill) both of Campbell and many great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers William, Samuel, Frederick and Albert.
The Barillaire family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home.
Interment will be at St. John Cemetery in Lowellville.
