Andrew J. “Andy” Sanetrik, 86
Youngstown: Andrew “Andy” J. Sanetrik, 86 passed away early Saturday morning in the Hospice House.
Andy was born Nov. 29, 1923 in Campbell the son on Stephen and Maria Stas Sanetrik and was a life long area resident.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946 as a Seaman First Class, where he received the Asiatic-Pacific Medal.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Campbell and Jednota Branch #260; he was an avid golfer and bowler and he shot a hole in one at the Hubbard Golf Course.
Andy retired in 1985 from Republic/LTV Steel Company after 38 years of service and was a starter at Mill Creek Golf course for 13 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife the former Dorothy J. Clark-Kukla whom he married on Jan. 1, 1977; 2 daughters, Cheryl (Raymond) Sadler of Youngstown and Susan (Steve) Puhalla of Poland one son Gary (Sandie) Kukla of Denver, Co.; 3 grandchildren, William A. Sadler, Derek Sanetrik and Jennifer Lutzi and a sister Dorothy Geewax of Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by is parents, one brother, Joseph Sanetrik and three sisters, Mary Mihalko, Katherine “Kitty” DeAngelis and Anne Barry.
The Sanetrik family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends today from 5-7pm.
A private family Interment Service will be held on Tuesday morning.
