Catherine Willich, 92
Poland: Funeral services will be held 9:30am Wednesday at the Wasko Funeral Home and 10am in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church for Catherine Willich, 92, formerly of Piccadilly St. in Campbell, who passed away Saturday afternoon in the Caprice Health Care Center.
Catherine was born Sept. 11, 1917 in Campbell the daughter of Joseph and Anna Kraczkowsky Stahura and was a life long area resident.
She was a member of the church and a former member of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church.
Her husband, Nick Willich whom she married on June 21, 1947 passed away on April 3, 1988.
Catherine was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She was a talented homemaker who used her skills for preparing wonderful meals, maintaining a loving home and designing and making various knitted and crocheted items for family and friends. Her hard work and dedication to her family won her love and respect from all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Phyllis Willich of Chamblee, Ga., Rodney Willich of Lawrenceville, Ga., Steven (Shirley) Willich of Union City, Ga., and Phillip (Beverly) Willich of Poland; two sisters, Helen Black of Campbell and Patricia (Ed) Henry of Enon; a brother, Andy (Gladys) Stahura of Youngstown; and four grandchildren, Amy and Nick Oliver of Chamblee, Ga., Pam (Blue) Buchanan of Sierra Vista, Az., and Melissa (Daniel) Takas of Canfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Michael Stahura and one sister Tilly Boncyk.
The Willich family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7pm.
