Eileen Elash, 89

Campbell:  Funeral services will be held Thursday,10am in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church for Eileen Graban Elash, 89 who passed away Sunday evening in the Assumption Village Nursing Home.
Eileen was born March 14, 1920 in Blacklick, Pa. the daughter of Andrew and Anna Hvizdos Graban and was a life long area resident.
She was a member of the church, the Church Choir, Senior FOCA Club and the Ladies Altar Society where she was the past president.
Eileen was loved by all who knew her.  She was known for her love of the church and her faith and that’s how she lived her life.  She was known for her baking of kolachi, cookies and pagachi, and her love of tradition for her family.
She loved bowling and golf through the church leagues, playing cards, cooking, singing in the church choir and spending time with her beloved family, whom she prayed for everyday.
Her husband Steven A. Elash whom she married on May 24, 1941 passed away on Feb. 10, 1998.
Eileen was a loving, caring, wife, mother, grandmother and sister to her family and she will be greatly missed by her children; a son Stephen (Marsha Altiero) Elash of Campbell and a daughter Cynthia Ferrick of Poland; grandchildren, Timothy (Beth) Nolder of Youngstown, James (Rosemary) Nolder of Mineral Ridge, Stephan (Crystal) Elash of Campbell, Tonya (Alfred) Boggia of Lowellville, and Kelly and Kristin Ferrick both of Poland; great-grandchildren, Alvin John, David, Rosemary, James Jr., Stephan, Marc, Victoria, Antonina and Antonio and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Eileen Elash Nolder; brothers, John, George, Peter and Michael and sisters, Mary Sykola, Ann Cvercko, Julia Sirilla and Katherine O’Shanic.
The family wishes to thank the doctors and nursing staff for all their wonderful care at the Assumption Village Nursing Home.
The Elash family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Wednesday from 5-8pm with a Parastas at 7:30pm and on Thursday morning from 9:30-10am at the church.

Steve, Cindy and Families,
