Poland: Funeral services will be held 9:15am Thursday at the Wasko Funeral Home and 10am at The Infant Jesus of Prague Byzantine Church in Boardman for Helen Fedor, 86 who passed away Sunday morning.
Helen was born July 20, 1923 in Uniontown, Pa. the daughter of Daniel and Mary Vansuch Volchko and was a life long area resident.
She was a 1942 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.
Helen was a member of the church and besides being a homemaker she owned and operated Helene’s Beauty Salon for 54 years.
Her husband, John M. Fedor whom she married on Sept. 13, 1947 passed away on July 10, 1998.
She will be sadly missed by her children, a son James (Cathy) Fedor of Poland; a daughter, Kimberly Morrell of Texas; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Fedor and Jonathan and Marley Morrell; 3 sisters Mary (Gay) Tomory of Boardman, Ruth Barrett of Austintown and Ethel (Robert) Petruska of Campbell and one brother Thomas Volchko of Poland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of Hampton Woods Nursing Center for the excellent care provided to Helen.
The Fedor family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7pm where a prayer service will be held at 6:30pm
