Kathleen Jean Fabian, 81
Campbell: Private family services were held Wednesday in the Wasko Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Yargo officiating for Kathleen Jean Fabian, 81 who passed away Friday evening in St. Elizabeth Health Center after a long illness.
Jean was born March 1, 1928 in Franklin, Pa., the daughter of Raymond and Annie James Bond.
Jeans family moved to Youngstown when she was a young child. She graduated from East High School with honors in 1946.
Jean retired in 1990 after 29 years as manager of the Insurance Department at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital. In 1999 she retired permanently, after working part-time for 8 years at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital with Dr. Essad in Radiology.
She was a member of Marion Heights United Methodist Church.
Her husband, Robert S. Fabian whom she married on May 14, 1949, passed away on December 12, 1990.
She leaves her son Ray (Cleo) Fabian, with whom she made her home; a sister Joan Wanco of Struthers; 5 granddaughters, Kathleen Fabian, Tari (Richie) Long, Kari Leah (Mike) Manyose, Amalia Kostantas and Andreanna (Sandro) Ducheschi of Switzerland and 6 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son Robert S. Fabian, Jr.; a sister, Elizabeth Sheppard and two brothers, Ray and Jimmy Bond.
The Fabian family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home.
