Mary Krompegel, 91
Campbell: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10am in St. Elizabeth Church for Mary Krompegel, 91, who passed away Tuesday evening in Assumption Village Nursing Home.
Mary was born Oct. 27, 1918 in Youngstown the daughter of John and Anna Ruzila Macupa.
Besides being a homemaker, Mary worked for Weatherbee Coats and as a seamstress.
She was a member of the church where she was involved in many organizations throughout the years and was the PTO president of St. Elizabeth School.
Her great love was Jesus our Lord; her great love in life was her husband Joseph whom she married on August 31, 1940, he passed away May 9, 2005.
Mary leaves to cherish her memory her children, Joseph T. of Campbell, Robert (Martha) of Boardman, Nancy (Richard) Douglass of Unity; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; Greg Macupa, whom she raised for the last 43 years and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, Joseph Macupa and a nephew Dr. Larry Macupa.
The Krompegel family wishes to thank the employees of Assumption Village for the wonderful care they gave to their Mother. And many thanks to Hospice for all their kindness and care.
The family wishes that any donations be made in Mary’s name to Hospice House/Hospice of the Valley.
The Krompegel family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Friday, from 9:30-10am in St. Elizabeth Church.
