Robert G. Duraney, 80


Campbell: Funeral services will be held 9:30am Monday at the Wasko Funeral Home and 10:00am in St. John Church, for Robert G. Duraney, 80 who passed away Thursday evening in the Hospice House.
Robert was born December 9, 1928 in Campbell the son of Andrew and Anna Franko Duraney and was a life long area resident.
He was a 1947 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, after graduation he worked at Youngstown Steel Door.
He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953; after coming home he worked for Louis Starr Construction, where he was a finishing carpenter, and later worked out on his own.  He built many homes in Campbell and the surrounding areas. Bob was a jack of all trades and master of all.  He took pride in all his accomplishments and was a helper to many in the neighborhood.
He was a member of the church, and worked on building the church, chapel and cemetery.
Bob married the former Edna Smiley on Aug. 1, 1959 and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Edna and their 5 sons and 1 daughter, Robert and his companion Rita, David and Cindy, Gary and Kathy, Michael and Laurie, Jeff, and Lori and her fiancé Jim; 6 grandchildren, Gary, Shannon, Eryn, Cristin, Carrie and Melony.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Claire Woychik and Mildred Duraney.
The family requests that donations be made in Robert’s name to the Hospice House or to the St. John Renovation and Improvement Fund.
The Duraney family wishes to thank Hospice of the Valley/Hospice House for their wonderful care and compassion during this difficult time.
The Duraney family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Sunday from 4-6pm.
