Rose Marie was born April 2, 1926 in Youngstown, the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Schimpf Rogenski
She married Steven D. Drozda on November 29, 1947.  Together they had four children whom they loved very much.
Rose Marie, formerly of Campbell and recently residing in Austintown, loved to dance.  She was known as the “Polka Queen of Victoria House Assisted Living” and was always ready with a smile and a dance for all whom she met.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Steven; her sisters, Elizabeth D’Amico and Ethel Szelazek and a brother Walter Rogenski.
Rose Marie will be remembered for her sweet nature, the twinkle in her eye and above all, her passion for the polka dance.  She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by her children, Elizabeth (James) Mancini, Dolores (William) Yurchyk, Steven (Debra) Drozda and Andrea (Douglas) Sage; her grandchildren, Jessica Mancini, Brittany Yurchyk, John Yurchyk and Zarek and Zevan Drozda will fondly remember her stories and all of the love that she gave to them.  Her brother Thomas Rogenski and nieces and nephew will also miss her greatly and cherish their memories of her.
The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Victoria House for the love and care that they gave to Rose Marie during her time in residence.  Rose Marie loved them greatly and considered them a part of her family.  Her children would also like to thank her doctors and the staff of Hospice of the Valley for the excellent care they provided.
The Drozda family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 2-5pm.
