Stephan G. Dubaj, 79


Struthers: Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 2:30pm at the Wasko Funeral Home with Fr. Michael Swierz officiating for Stephan G. Dubaj, 79 who passed away Christmas Day in the Assumption Village Nursing Home.
Stephan was born August 20, 1930 in Campbell the son of Joe and Ann Babalia Dubaj and was a life long area resident.
He was a 1948 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to serve his country in The U.S. Navy in the Korean War from 1948-1952.
He worked at The Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company as a Machinist.
Stephan was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Struthers and the Knights of Columbus-4th Degree-Youngstown Chapter; he also enjoyed gardening and landscaping his home.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife the former Ann Jane Mrosko whom he married April 11, 1959; his children Diane (Alan) Underwood, Tom (Jean) Dubaj, Theresa (Craig) Jones, Loretta (Ahmad) Karim and James (Melanie) Dubaj; brothers and sisters, Barbara Horvath, Joe Dubaj, Helen (Carl) Puskarcik and George (Carolyn) Dubaj; 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren;
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Stephan Michael Dubaj and 4 sisters, Rose Mitulinski, Mary Horvath, Ann Kobachenski and Pauline Conners.
The family would like to thank the staff of Assumption Village Nursing Home and Hospice for their compassionate and loving care of Mr. Dubaj.
The Dubaj family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and receive friends Tuesday from 12:30-2:30pm.
