Fowler: Funeral services will be held 9:30am Friday at The Wasko Funeral Home and 10am in St. John Catholic Church in Campbell for Stephen A. Makosky, 66 who passed away Sunday evening in Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.
Stephen was born July 25, 1944 in Youngstown the son of Joseph and Theresa Sedlak Makosky.
He was a 1962 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and was employed at P & LE Railroad, the former LTV plant in Warren and was a partner in Makosky-Zetts Landscaping in Campbell.
Steve was a charter member of Knights of Columbus Council 13466 in Campbell.
He was a resident of Meadowbrook Manor in Fowler, he enjoyed participating in all the activities at the nursing home facility and was there favorite “trouble maker”, and also enjoyed visits from his extended family.
He leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Jeffrey Makosky of San Diego, Calf., Helen Marie of Conneaut and Stephanie of Concord; three grandchildren; two brothers, John R. Makosky of Campbell and Andrew Makosky of Struthers; two sisters Theresa (Roland) Miller of Deale, Maryland and Anne Hvisdak of North Lima; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Mallory Johnson of Youngstown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers and sisters, Helen, William, George, Joseph and Edward.
The family wishes that any monetary donations be made to St. John Catholic Church in Campbell.
The Makosky family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8pm.
