Steve E. Horvath, 85

Campbell: Funeral services will be held 9:30am Thursday at the Wasko Funeral Home and 10am in St. Joseph the Provider Church for Steve E. “Squeaks” Horvath, 85 who passed away Saturday afternoon in Briarfield Manor.
Steve was born Feb. 25, 1925 in Youngstown, the son of Jacob and Antoinette Dukovich Horvath and was a life long Campbell resident.
He was a 1944 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army Air Force in WWII.
Steve worked as a machinist in the Electric Shop at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company for 37 years. 
He was a member of the church; he was in several bowling leagues and enjoyed playing cards, listening to music and playing the lottery, he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
His wife the former Alice Dickey whom he married on Nov. 21, 1952 passed away on Nov. 28, 1985.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Dolly (Mike) Mastronarde of Struthers and Gloria (Barry) Merrell of Canfield; one son Robert (Tori) Horvath of New Springfield; two brothers, John and George Horvath both of Campbell; eight grand children and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son Richard Horvath; 3 sisters, Catherine, Ann and Millie Horvath and one brother William Horvath.
The family would like to send a special Thank You to the staff at Briarfield Manor and his roommate Ralph for taking such good care of our Dad this past year.
“Your acts of kindness and generosity will live on in so many of our lives…..life won’t be the same without you.  Your memories will live on forever.”
The Horvath family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-8pm.

Dolly & Family so sorry about your Dad passing,may he rest in peace now,i knew you posted something one day about him,i didn’t relize he was thatn sick,my Mom had just died Jan 20,we had her a wasko’s also.

Hi Dolly-
I don’t know if we will be able to make the funeral home tonight so wanted to express our love and concern for you and your family.  May his blessing and Grace rest on the whoe situation.  I know your words will change the atmosphere.  Thank you for being the Mighty Woman of God that you are.
