Thomas J. Bartos, 83
Boardman: Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30am in the Wasko Funeral Home and 11:00am in St. Elizabeth Church, for Thomas J. Bartos, formerly of Campbell, who passed away Friday evening.
Thomas was born Nov. 29, 1924 in Campbell, the son of Stephen and Mary Sabo Bartos and was a life long area resident.
He was a 1944 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and also attended the New Castle School of Trades. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946.
Thomas was a member of the church where he served as an usher. He was an utility man for the Campbell Water Department, retiring after 30 years of service.
His wife the former Anne V. Lukas whom he married on Jan. 6, 1951, passed away on Nov. 23, 2007.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son Thomas (Barbara) Bartos of Boardman; one brother, Edward (Bertha) Bartos of Campbell; two sisters, Emily (Joe) Kotch of Florida and Margaret Gennaro of Struthers; a daughter-in-law, Debra Bartos of Florida; five grandchildren, Rebecca, Vikki, David, Michele and A.J. and two great grandchildren, Nick and Katie.
Besides his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by his son James, and two brothers, Steve and Mike Bartos.
The Bartos family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and will receive friends Tuesday from 4-7pm.
