Veronica Seach, 89

Campbell:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30am Thursday at the Wasko Funeral Home and 11:00am in St. John Catholic Church with Msgr. John Zuraw officiating, for Veronica Seach, 89, previously of Tremble Ave., who passed away gracefully from natural causes on Saturday at Grace Woods Senior Living Center in Niles.

Veronica was born January 8, 1920 in Youngstown the daughter of Josef and Susan Halay Tuchek.

She married her husband Joseph in 1950.  They shared their love and lives together until Joe passed away in 1982.

Veronica graduated from Campbell Memorial High School and then worked at the General Electric Co. before she became a full time homemaker.

She was a very special Mother and she leaves behind two children, her son Gene and her daughter Lorraine.  Her sister Mary Bota preceded her in death in 1968.  She willingly became the mother to her sister’s four children and will always be remembered as the special “Auntie” to Larry, Brenda, Marilyn and Ron.  She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law, Judy her son-in-law Rick, three grandchildren, Sheila (Keith) Lamb, Susan (Christian) Ramsey and Joseph Kjeldsen and six great-grandchildren, Troy, Anthony, Alexis and Tyler Ramsey and Amber and Cody Lamb.  Also preceding her in death were two infant brothers.

Veronica will always be remembered for all the love, kindness and happiness that she gave to everyone.  Major church holidays were always a big celebration and her food offerings were always extraordinary. Known as “Vern” to her friends, she would help everyone in any way that she could.  She would often drive less fortuned people to doctor’s appointments and then also help take care of them.

Veronica was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Church.  She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and The Infant of Prague Guild.  She enjoyed making robes for the Infant of Prague Guild statues that she gave away to many people.  She was also an officer with the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Branch 344 and 257 (Zenska Jednota).  The FCLSA awarded to her the honorable 10-M Club.  She also was a proud member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Legions of Mary.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Grace Hospice for all their compassion and everything that they helped do for Veronica in her passing on to meet her Savior.

The Seach family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8pm, where a prayer service will be held at 5:45pm.
