Virginia M. Turek, 88
Latonia, Kentucky: Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday at Wasko Funeral Home with Fr. David Shortt officiating for Virginia M. Turek, 88, formerly of E. Dewey Ave. in Youngstown, who passed away Tuesday afternoon.
Virginia was born May 11, 1921 in Campbell, the daughter of John and Anna Garchar Martinko and was a life long area resident until she moved to Kentucky in 2006
She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
Virginia worked for the LTV Steel Company for 12 years before retiring in 1980.
Her husband Andrew J. Turek whom she married Oct. 30, 1948 passed away on July 5, 2005.
She leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters, Karen Turek of Loveland and Andrea (Ron) McDermott of Lakeside Park, KY and one grandson, Thomas (Lannie) Turek of Boardman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Thomas Turek, who passed away on May 16, 2003, as well as 6 sisters and 8 brothers.
The Turek family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends from 11am-1pm on Saturday.
