Wasko Funeral Home
Wilma D. Musser
Boardman: Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Tuesday in the Wasko Funeral Home with Fr. Michael Swierz officiating for Wilma D. Musser, 84 who passed away Wednesday afternoon in the Hospice House, succumbing to Kidney Failure after a long fight.
Wilma was born March 18, 1925 in New Castle, Pa. the daughter of George and Elizabeth Jacisin Dukat; her father George passed away when she was four years old.
Her working career was always in the food industry as a gourmet cook. She began her career at The Dutch House in downtown Youngstown, where she met her loving husband William Musser, when he would come in on his lunch break from the Erie Railroad. She then worked for Wheelers Sandwich Shop and after that John Valley Catering Service.
After learning the business and getting many acclimations about her amazing cooking she had her own catering service where she gave work to her daughters, their friends, and her friends, which then got them into the business. Years later she worked for St. Dominic’s Catholic Church as a personal cook to the priests at the rectory, retiring at age 70.
Her world was her children and she devoted her life to her family. She loved to crochet, play bingo when she lived in Chicago, and of course cook and bake. Her strength, amazing heart, and loving memories will be forever remembered by those that she impacted and who loved her.
Wilma was cherished and loved by her family and will be sadly missed by her five children, Patricia (David) Basista, Marilyn (Stephen) Stoltz, William (Nancy) Musser, Vicky (Kenneth) Bragalone and Denise DeGeorge; her grandchildren, Shirley Peacock, David Basista, Stephen Stoltz, Jr., Melina Yukon, Sheila Lemmon and Tiffany Bragalone; nine great-grandchildren and sisters and brothers, Maryann Berroteran, William Hudak, Joseph Hudak, Jean Stephenson and Dorothy DelGreco.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William R. Musser who passed away Jan. 29, 1979; a sister Dolores Seitz and a son-in-law, Stephen V. Stoltz.
The family would like to send a special thanks to her team of doctors and medical staff that gave her amazing care and kept fighting for her, Dr. Santuccio Ricciardi, Dr. Roberta Bacani, Dawn Gore, CCNS and CDC Kidney Dialysis of Canfield, especially her technician, Charles Jones.
The Musser family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends, Tuesday from 11am-1pm.
