CAMPBELL… Florence M. Bosko, age 101, passed away peacefully Tuesday February 13, 2024 at Assumption Village Nursing Home.
Florence was born on August 29, 1922 in Campbell and was a daughter of John and Anna (Ofcharik) Hassay.
She attended St. Elizabeth Grade School and was a 1940 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.
She worked at various places including General Electric and as a reporter for The Daily Legal News.
Florence was a member of the former St. Elizabeth Church and was a member of the Ladies Jednota Lodge Branch 202.
She is survived by her many nieces and nephews; including Robert Hassay, Nancy Ondash, Frank Hassay, Jeannette Menz, Donna Fisher, Carole Durkin, Jacqueline Casey, Glen Hassay, James Hassay, Atty. Wayne Hassay and Kathleen Hassay.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Steven Bosko, her brothers John B. Hassay, Frank Hassay, Steven Hassay, Joseph Hassay and her sister Helen Cernock. She was also preceded in death by her nephews Kenny Cernock, Ray Hassay, John Hassay, Jerome Hassay and her niece Francis Antal.
Family and friends may call on Friday April 12, 2024 from 5-6p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell. A memorial service will follow at 6p.m. at the funeral home with the Very Rev. Michael Swierz officiating.
Inurnment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell.
Florence will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
