Caliope Kelly, 79

Campbell…Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018, at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Campbell, for Caliope Kelly, 79, who passed away peacefully at home Saturday, May 26, 2018.  

Caliope was born November 13, 1938, a daughter of Theophilos (Bairamis) Climes and Nomiki Karavokiros.

She was a 1956 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.

She married Ron Kelly on June 22, 1963 in Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church.  

Caliope enjoyed being involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives and their school and sports activities. She was a team mom for the Campbell Little League and the Little Red Devils. She was a mother and Yiayia to all who knew her. She greatly enjoyed the weekly gatherings with her fellow CMHS Class of 1956 grads at Bedford Trails.

She is survived by her four children, Tony Kelly (Mary Janek) of Campbell, Paige Kelly of Florida, Lisa Yiannos (John Wachter) of New Jersey, and Christopher (Kim) Kelly of Howland; and Annette Kelly. She also leaves her grandchildren, AJ (Kim), Ryan, Cassie, Christo, Will and Michael Kelly; as well as Caliope, Stellanie and Marina Yiannos. Also surviving are Caliope’s siblings, George Climes, Maggie Saris, Michael (Gin) Climes, Paddy Climes, Atoumissa (George) Karavokiros and Thelma Capuzeillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Ron, who passed away on May 8, 2018.

The Kelly family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 9-11am at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Campbell.

Caliope will be laid to rest at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Cemetery.

Per the families' request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Caliope's name to the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church.
