 YOUNGSTOWN… Funeral Services will be held on Friday December 14, 2018 at 9:00am at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell with Fr. Michael Swierz officiating for David P. Sferra, 48 who passed away on Sunday December 9, 2018.

David was born March 28, 1970 in Youngstown, the son of Mario and Gina Iacovone Sferra.

He was a 1988 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to become an electrician. Presently David was the head electrician for Mahoning County Facilities Management. Prior to working for the county David along with his father owned and operated David’s Electric Company.

He was a member of the Sons of Italy, and was a former member of the IBEW local 64.

David enjoyed trips to the local Casinos, he also enjoyed golfing, fishing, watching sports on TV, but most of all he was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

We will miss Dave's quick wit, his big sense of humor and his love of socializing with people.

David is survived by his loving girlfriend Lisa Bolotenny, who cared for him during his illness; his children Ageline and David A. Sferra; his future grandson Donald; his parents Mario and Gina Sferra of Poland; brothers Frank (Melissa) Sferra of New Middletown and Danny (Gretchen) Sferra of Campbell;  a grandmother Valentina Iacovone of Campbell; nieces and nephews Frank, Nick, Symone and Noah Sferra; his former wife Renee Sferra; and his daily “Tea Buddy” Dee Griffiths.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Salvatore Sferra and Raffaele Iacavone; and his grandmother Giulia Sferra.

The Sferra family have entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends on Thursday December 13, 2018 from 3-7:00 pm and again on Friday morning from 8-9:00 am.

David will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville.
