Doris J. Capezzuto, 79

Campbell…Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, at 1:30 p.m., at the Wasko Funeral Home, officiated by the Very Rev. Msgr. Peter Polando, for Doris J. Capezzuto, 79, who passed away Saturday evening, Dec. 29, 2018.

Doris was born January 7, 1939, in Youngstown, the daughter of Anthony Diana and Rose Colao Diana.

She was a 1958 graduate of Ursuline High School and a lifelong area resident.

Doris worked as a telemarketer for Pizzulo Brothers and prior to that she worked with Miracle Ear.  She also spent time working as a Democratic Poll worker on Election Day in Campbell.
She was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Lucy Catholic Church.   Doris also attended St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Youngstown.

She loved to watch TV, especially the TCM channel. Doris greatly enjoyed attending daily mass and going out to eat with family and friends.

She loved all animals, especially cats.

Doris will be deeply missed and always remembered by her husband, Joseph P. Capezzuto, whom she married June 17, 1972; her siblings, Rosemary Diana-Green, Edward Diana, Anna Marie Diana, Michael Diana, Charles (Diane) Diana, Thomas Diana and Marie (Richard) Cataline; and numerous nephews and nieces, including Diane Spohn, who was like a sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Julia Yurkovich and her brother, James Diana.

The Capezzuto family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, from 11:30-1:30 p.m. in the funeral home, prior to the 1:30 p.m. funeral service.
