Dr. James P. Dambrogio, 76
Transfer, Pa…Memorial services will be held Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Kevin Marks, for Dr. James P. Dambrogio, 76, who passed away early Sunday morning, July 8, 2018.
James was born March 17, 1942 in Youngstown, the son of Joseph and Stella Szpyt Dambrogio.
He was a 1960 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and continued his education at Kent State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. He also attended the Kansas City College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he obtained his DO Degree.
James had a successful medical practice in West Middlesex and Hubbard for more than 45 years.
He worked as a physician and surgeon at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital and served as the Medical Director for Don Disabilities Options Network of New Castle. James was very proud to have treated up to four generations of family members during his distinguished 45 year career.
He was a member of the Osteopathic Association and the Mahoning County Duck Club and Ducks Unlimited.
James will be deeply missed by his wife, the former Jane Moore, whom he married March 25, 1995; his daughter, Susan (Steve) Taylor, and grandson, Ryan James; granddaughter, Tarah (Shane) Rawson; daughter, Deana Bonetti, and Jana Dambrogio; his sons, James (Leslie) Dambrogio and Joseph (Katie) Dambrogio; nine grandchildren; his sister, Dolores “Dolly” Lysowski and her children, Dean, Cheri, and Mark; sisters-in-law, Jean Dambrogio and her children, Kim and Donald, and Susan Moore Johnson and her son, Peter (Rachel) Moore.
Besides his parents; he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Dambrogio and his brother-in-law, Robert Lysowski.
The Dambrogio family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Wednesday from 4-6:00 p.m., prior to the 6:00 p.m. funeral service.
