Evan McFall Obituary

YOUNGSTOWN...Funeral Services will be held at 6pm on Tuesday March 5, 2019 at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell for Evan B. McFall age 80, who passed away Saturday March 2, 2019 at Hospice House in Poland.

Evan was born on January 4, 1939 a son of Lavern and Della Mae (Uber) McFall.

He proudly and honorably served in the United States Army for over 20 years in the Infantry and Military Police; where he received the Purple Heart, 4 Overseas Service Bars, Army Occupation Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Air Medal, Presidential Unit Citation and 6 Service Stripes, the Silver Star and Bronze Star with Valor: as well as the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Silver Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm.

Evan was of the Christian Faith and he enjoyed spending time with his family and working with his hands especially in the yard. He loved his coffee and going fishing. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the VFW.

He had worked for 15 years as a carpenter for the Harvey Lumber Co. in Georgia.

Evan married Rosemarie H. Berry on December 26, 1974 in Georgia.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years and his children Randall (Cathy) McFall and Diane (Ricky) Herrington both of Georgia and Chad McFall of Kansas and Matthew McFall of Alabama. He also leaves nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as his sister and brothers Lillian Amrich, Chester McFall and Merle McFall.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Donald A. McFall, his sister Violet Smith and brothers Charles, Bobby and Ernie McFall.

The McFall family has entrusted Evans care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell where they will receive family and friends on Tuesday March 5, 2019 from 4-6pm with services and full military honors following at 6pm.
