Campbell…Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Youngstown, for Flora Lee Hodge, 93, who passed away Wednesday.
Flora was born November 23, 1924, in Hubbard, the daughter of James Wesley and Willa Mae Ferguson Hodge. She was a 1942 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to attend Youngstown College.
Flora worked for the Campbell City Water Department for 55 years, retiring in 2004.
She was a member of the former Butler Memorial Presbyterian Church, where she worked actively with all church projects. She was also a member of the Presbyterian Women’s Organization.
Flora was active in the community and will be remembered for coordinating a program to provide school uniforms for students at Harding Elementary school.
She enjoyed playing the piano and organ, both at home and at church.
Flora loved to watch football and always looked forward to attending her nephews’ sporting events. Flora also enjoyed gardening and working in the yard.
Flora will be deeply missed by her brother, Kenneth (Marilyn) Hodge of Campbell; her sisters, Shirley (Lewis) Long of Woodbridge, Virginia and Delores Lee of Dayton; her sister-in-law, Rose Jean Hodge of Youngstown, and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mildred Tenney, Helen Bell and Grace Hill; and her brothers, Wesley Hodge and William Hodge.
The Hodge family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Valley in Flora’s name.
The Hodge family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Monday from 5-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
