Youngstown…Helen Marie (Mularchik) Baluck entered eternal life peacefully on the 20th of January, 2019 at her home in Youngstown.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, Jan. 28th at 10:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider Catholic Church, with Rev. Michael Swierz officiating.
Helen was born December 11, 1930 to parents, Michael and Catherine Spolska Mularchik in Campbell.
Following graduation from Campbell Memorial High School, Helen was employed as a hairdresser; later retiring from Packard Electric. Successive to retirement, Helen enjoyed many years working as a caregiver.
Helen was deeply, proudly and spiritually involved with the St. Joseph the Provider Church, belong to their Altar and Rosary Society, as well as the Infant Guild.
Helen enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and cooking and baking, especially for the holidays. She also loved dancing to traditional polkas and going on walks.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Dave) Edwards of Howland, Kathy (Richard) Fox of Wisconsin, Mary Ann Baluck of Poland, and Mary Beth Snyder of Boardman. She also leaves her grandchildren, Megan (Bill) McNamera-Blakely, Tara Fox, April Fox and Paulina Baluck; a great-grandson, Callen Fox; her brother, Mike Mularchik; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joseph and Richard Mularchik; and two sisters, Stella Rivalsky and Agnes Rokop.
The family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley (Salem Team) for their excellent care; and Dr. Szymon Kryzanowski, for his care and guidance.
And a special thanks to cousin, Jane Orlo, who faithfully delivered the eucharist on Sunday mornings and filled in to help as needed. Helen always looked forward to her visits. We thank and appreciate Jane for her gift of servitude.
The Baluck family has entrusted their loved one the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, and will receive family and friends from 2 to 5pm, on Sunday, Jan. 27th, with the Infant Guild saying the Rosary at 1:30pm.
Helen will be laid to rest at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
