Helen (Tarr) Kocur, 88
Jacksonville…Memorial services were held Monday, October 23, 2017, in San José Catholic Church, in Jacksonville, Florida, for Helen (Tarr) Kocur, 88, formerly of Campbell, who passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, with her children by her side.
Helen was born April 2, 1929, in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Anthony and Marie Sobolewski Tarr.
She was a 1947 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.
Helen worked as a beautician, having owned Campbell Hair Fashions, which she operated for many years. She also worked for Roux-Revlon Company, until her retirement in 1996.
She was a member of FCSLA Branch #202.
Helen will be deeply missed by her children, son, Carl Kocur and daughter, Kathy D’Altorio; her grandson, Jimmy Dobos; and her dog, Ginger, all of Jacksonville; her brothers, Jack (Phyllis) Tarr of St. Augustine, Florida, and Robert (Patricia) Tarr of Humble, Texas; her sisters, Nancy DeWitt of Campbell and Carol Silverman of Jacksonville; her brother-in-law, Louis Texter of Campbell; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Tarr; sister, Florence Texter; brothers-in-law, Chester DeWitt, and Phil Silverman; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Tarr.
Interment took place May 29, 2018, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
