Campbell………..Prayer services will be held at 11am Saturday morning at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider Catholic Church in Campbell for Paul L. White, Sr., 48, who passed away Friday, Sept. 14th after battling various cancers for 8 years. Paul participated in many trials including a stem cell transplant in the hope of helping to find a cure for this horrible disease.
Paul was born Sept. 16, 1969 in Youngstown, the son of James White and Darla Jean Church.
He was employed by the United States Postal Service as a Mail Carrier and a Supervisor at the Youngstown and Poland Post Offices. Prior to working at the post office, Paul enjoyed doing home improvement projects which he was very good at.
He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavalier and Ohio State Buckeye fan; and enjoyed camping and sitting out by the fire.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents; his wife, the former Bernadette Turscak, whom he married May 19, 1997; two children, whom he was so proud of, Paul Jr., of Langley AFB and his “baby girl”, Cameron at home; a brother, James “Danny” White; sisters, Cathy Glowinski and Emily Brown; step-mother, Amy White; step-brothers, Jason and Jamie; step-sister, Jacci Church; a special aunt, Joyce Pavalko; his mother-in-law, Priscilla Turscak; Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Diane Michelini; goddaughter, Reese Goodman; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Leroy and Mildred Humphrey; paternal grandparents, Roy and Margaret White; and his step-father, Ronald “Tom” Church.
Paul’s family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the University of Cleveland Hospital for all their kindness and care given to Paul throughout his battle.
A prayer service to celebrate Paul’s life will be held Saturday, Sept. 22nd, at 11am in St. Joseph the Provider Catholic Church in Campbell.
