Rodney W. Baglama, 51
Campbell…Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Swierz officiating, for Rodney W. Baglama, 51, who passed away Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018.
Rodney was born June 28, 1967, in Youngstown, the son of Darlene (Baglama) Velazquez.
He was a 1985 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and a lifelong area resident.
Rodney had worked as a mason and painter and most recently worked for Marble Head Services Company, Inc. as an Operations Manager.
He enjoyed sports and especially enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and the Oakland Raiders. Rodney loved fishing, riding four wheelers, going to the casino and traveling. He loved spending time with his beloved dog, “Tank”.
He was a gifted and creative craftsman, and always enjoyed being able to work with his hands.
Rodney will be deeply missed by his children, Rodney and Jacob Baglama; his siblings, Keith (Christine) Baglama of Boardman, Christopher (Sherri Van Dyke) Carpenter, also of Boardman, and Erik (Beth) Velazquez of Hilo, Hawaii; step-brother, John Ross; step-sisters, Dana Riley and Priscilla Valazquez; his partner and significant other, Judie Clement; and special friends, Jim and Missy Fuschillo, Mike Pallone and Bill Shannon.
He was preceded in death by his mother Darlene; grandfather, Lucas Baglama; and his friend, Chuck Ditosto, who passed away in October, 2017.
The Baglama family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Thursday from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the 7:00 p.m. funeral service.
The family requests that monetary donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
