Virginia A. Sikora, 81
Poland…Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. at Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Youngstown, for Virginia A. Sikora, 81, who passed away Sunday evening.
Virginia was born January 22, 1936, in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Ann Aveni Marino.
She was an Ursuline High School graduate and a life-long area resident.
Virginia was a homemaker who always put her family first.
She was a parishioner of St. Dominic’s Church.
Virginia will be remembered as a person who loved to crochet, play cards, and was a dedicated and avid member of her church. Most of all, she was a very proud grandmother who loved her grandchildren deeply.
Her husband, Raymond R. Sikora Sr., whom she married November 10, 1956, passed away September 3, 1996.
Virginia will be deeply missed by her daughter, Rosemarie (Tom) Martin of Boardman, her only son, Raymond (Debbie) Sikora of Youngstown, and her daughter, Darlene Sikora, also of Youngstown, her brothers, Frank Marino of Bloomingdale, Ohio and James Marino of Youngstown; and her grandchildren, Thomas Martin, Michael Martin and Felicia Fulton.
Besides her parents; and her husband, Raymond, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Josephine Jarmolik and Mary Jane Marino.
The Sikora family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Thursday from 5-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
