Obituary

Angel Louis Morales, 71

CAMPBELL — Angel Louis Morales, 71, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Heritage Manor in Youngstown. He was born on August 25, 1955, in Yabacoa, Puerto Rico, a son of Andres and Pauline (Valequez-Ramos) Morales.

Angel came to Youngstown with his family in 1958 and moved to Campbell in 2016. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was of the Catholic faith. He was known for proudly showing everyone his hats, each honoring his service as a Marine.

He worked for General Motors as a lineman in the fabricating shop.

Angel loved music, dancing, and entertaining others. He was the life of the party—a true character whose optimism and sense of humor could brighten anyone’s day. He made people laugh wherever he went and held a special place in the hearts of those who knew him, including the staff at Heritage Manor. He shared a special bond with his beloved Titi Terri, his buddy, who took him everywhere. When someone was feeling down, time spent with Angel had a way of lifting their spirits. He also enjoyed bingo, crafts, checkers, and chess.

Angel is survived by his daughter, Stephanie (Adjevi) Mensah of Smyrna, Tennessee; his son, Angel (Ashli) Morales; and his daughter, Deborah Morales, both of Atlanta, Georgia. He also leaves many grandchildren; his siblings, Carmen Lopez, Lucy Nieves, Andres (Carmelita) Morales, Alexander (Amy) Morales, Carlos (Terri) Morales, and Suzanna (Charles) Vatter; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephews, Michael Nieves, Alexander Morales Jr., and Terry Micco.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Heritage Manor for their love and care, and to his nephew, Giovanni Serra, who visited Angel, cut his hair, and spent time with him. His kindness and companionship meant so much.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell. Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, with prayers at 9:30 a.m. at Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Angela Merici Parish in Youngstown.

Angel will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville with full military honors.
