Campbell... Betty Bestic 96, passed away March 12,2024 at Poland Village Assisted Living.
Betty was born October 30,1927 in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a daughter of Michael and Eva (Hindman) Cuprik.
She was a 1946 graduate of East High School.
Betty married her husband Edward J. Bestic on May 7, 1949; he passed away on January 12, 2013.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed walking in Roosevelt Park, bowling, and crocheting for which she won numerous ribbons at the Canfield Fair.
She especially enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and watching her sons and grandsons play football, and her granddaughter cheer. She also loved her dogs.
Betty will be deeply missed by her son James (Patty) Bestic of Campbell; her daughter in laws, Barb Bestic of Boardman and Patti Bestic of Lowellville, and her grandchildren Mark (Lauren) Bestic. Matthew (Sarah) Bestic, Michael (Anna) Bestic, Benjamin (Erin) Bestic, Jessica (Erik) Galloway; and her great-grandchildren Christian, Jordan, Elijah, Maggie, Gabriella, Audrey and Myles.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Edward, her sons Jeffrey and Mark Bestic, her grandson Zachary Bestic; as well as her brother Harry Cuprik and sister Emma Lou Purnell.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Poland Village Assisted Living, for the exceptional care that was given to Betty.
The family has entrusted Betty's care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell. Calling hours will be held on Friday March 15,2024 from 10-11a.m. at The First Presbyterian Church of Youngstown 201 Wick Ave. Funeral services will follow at 11a.m. in the church with Rev. Payne Warner officiating.
Betty will be laid to rest at St. John's Cemetery in Lowellville.
