Carol J. Bednarik, 84
POLAND…Carol J. Bednarik passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.
Carol was born January 12, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Daniel and Margaret (Unick) Liposchak.
She was a 1958 graduate of Struthers High School and was a graduate of Hannah Mullins School of Practical Nursing.
Carol was a lifelong resident of the Youngstown area. She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of Holy Rosary in Lowellville and previously a member of St. John's in Campbell.
She was a homemaker, and worked for Home Interiors as a demonstrator. Carol also worked as a sales person for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She went on to work as an L.P.N. for Assumption Village from which she retired.
Carol enjoyed playing bingo, plaster craft and playing cards, and she loved visiting with her family.
Carol will be deeply missed and always remembered by her children; Pamela (Robert) Taybus of Poland, and Debra Sharkey of Youngstown; her daughter-in-law, Christine Bednarik; her grandchildren, Michael Ciccolelli, Katie (Robert) Lovell, and Ashley( Joseph) Diamantini; great-grandchildren, Leo and Luka Lovell; her stepbrothers, Daniel (Gloria) Liposchak and Patrick (Marinan) Liposchak; her step sister, Margo Dreher; her brother-in-law, Kenneth (Karen) Bednarik.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Kenneth Bednarik and her former husband, Richard Bednarik.
The Bednarik family has entrusted Carol's care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. Calling hours will be Monday, April 21, 2025 at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in Campbell from 10-10:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am, officiated by Father Tom Kraszewski.
Carol will be laid to rest at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville, Ohio.
