Edward G. Bayus, 79

Canfield…Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, , Jan. 5, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Michael Farynets, for Edward G. Bayus, 79, who passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2018.

Ed was born May 8, 1939, in Campbell, the son of John and Edna (Hromyak) Bayus.  He was a 1956 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School.

He went on to proudly serve his country in the US Army from 1957-1959.

Ed sold automotive parts and also worked at the Mahoning County Sheriff's Department and once served as the Finance Director for the City of Campbell.

He was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.

Ed was a car enthusiast and always enjoyed working on his classic car collection.

His wife, the former Judith Marie Semyan, whom he married August 16, 1987; passed away June 4, 2016.

Ed leaves to cherish his memory; his daughters, Suzann M. Lucas and Lorrie L. Lucas; grandchildren, Tyler Morgan Green, Lauren Olivia Green and Logan Thomas Green; and his brother Raymond Bayus of Nevada.

Besides his parents; and his wife Judy; he was preceded in death by his daughter; and his brothers, Andy, John, Tom, Paul, Joe and Jimmy Bayus.

The Bayus family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service.
