Eleanor was born November 20, 1930, in Campbell, the daughter of the late Thomas and Josephine Kotwica Simchick.

Her husband, Nick Mistovich; whom she married September 27, 1952; passed away February 21, 2015.

Eleanor is survived by her children, Nick (Debbie) Mistovich of North Jackson and Lenore (Jim) Taylor of Galena; her grandchildren, Brian Taylor, Rick (Sara) Taylor, Jacqueline (Travis) Thomas, Renee (James) Schwaderer, Danielle Mistovich, and Laura (Jason) Walters; four great-grandchildren, Austin, Gabriella, Giuliana, Elijah, and two more on the way; sisters-in-law, Ann Simchick, Betty Simchick, and Natalie Simchick; and many nieces; nephews; and good friends.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; baby daughter, Mary; her husband Nick; two sisters, Mary Mady and Florence Janoso; five brothers, Edward, John, Julius, Rudy, and Stanley Simchik; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, from both the Mistovich and Simchick families.

The Mistovich family would like to thank Eleanor's special neighbors, the Kish, Vanca and Santiago families for being such caring and thoughtful friends, along with the compassionate staff of Windsor House.

The Mistovich family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Thursday, April 26th from 5-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
