Elena Pagán, 95
CAMPBELL…Elena Pagán passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at home on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
Elena was born September 27, 1930 in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, a daughter of Candelario and Ceferina (Pedraza) DeLeon.
Elena came to Youngstown from Puerto Rico in 1953 and then moved to Campbell in 1977.
Elena married the love of her life, Carlos Pagán on December 13, 1953 and they shared 49 years of marriage until his passing on January 8, 2002.
She was employed at Brentwood Originals as an associate for 27 years until her retirement in 1992.
Elena, a former parishioner of the former Sta Rosa de Lima Church, she was a member of Dama's De maria at Sta Rosa de Lima and a member of the Curcillo Movement.
She enjoyed playing bingo, trips to the casino, playing cards and going on vacations with her friends. Elena was a devout Catholic and very devoted to her faith.
Elena will be deeply missed and always remembered by her children, Raymond, Angel (Suzanna), Jose, Nilda Pagán-Cook (Edward), Karen Pagán- Hinge, Janet (Robert), and Jeffrey; sister, Isabel Deleon; 15 grandchildren, Ray, Chris, Raul, Steven, Anthony, Ciara, Savannah, Anita, Michelle, Jonathan, Gilberto, Aaron, Michael, Vivian, and Laura; 28 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Gilberto Pagán; her daughter-in-law, Amber Pagán; son-in-law, Mark Hinge; siblings, Gabriel, Sor. Zenona, Gumersindo, Adelino, Eugenio, Abraham, Eulalia, Candelaria, Antonia and Maria.
The Pagán family has entrusted Elena's care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio where calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026 from 5:00-7:00pm. A Prayer Service will be Wednesday, June 24th, 2026 at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by at Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Angela Merici Parish.
Interment will follow the Mass at St. Johns Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Raymond Pagán Jr., Gilberto Pagán Jr., Christopher Pagán, Jonathan Cook, Michael Pagán and Raymond Pagán III.
The family would like to thank Akeso Hospice and their loving staff members; Emma, Lisa, and Michelle (Bobbi).
