Florence I. Buydos, 75

LOWELLVILLE…Florence I. Buydos, 75 passed away at her home on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

Florence was born August 7, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of James P. and Gloria (McCann) Hetrick.

She was a 1969 graduate of Girard High School.

Florence married the love of her life, Thomas Buydos on August 19, 1972 and they shared 54 years of marriage.

Florence worked in accounts receivable at Erskine Trucking for 10 years. She then went on to finish her career as a waitress at Jib Jab Hot Dog Shop, retiring in 2000 after 10 years of service.

She was of the Catholic faith and was a parishioner of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard, Ohio and was previously a parishioner at St. James Parish in New Bedford for over 20 years. She was a member of the Coitsville Ladies Auxilary for 50 years and a member of the Coitsville Senior Citizens.

Florence enjoyed meeting with friends from church each Monday for breakfast and loved drives in the country.

Florence will be deeply missed and always remembered by her husband, Thomas; her brother, Ronald Hetrick of Girard, Ohio along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Howard Hetrick; sister-in-law, Kathy L. Hetrick and her sister Maryann Cera.

The Buydos family has entrusted Florence’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio where calling hours will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 from 5-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Hubbard, Ohio on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 1:30pm officiated by The Very Rev. Michael Balash. Everyone is asked to meet at the church on Thursday afternoon at 1:15pm.
