George M. Diamantes, 59

Campbell…Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, with Rev. Steve Denas officiating, for George M. Diamantes, 59, who passed away Thursday, Oct. 19th at his home.

George was born August 28, 1958, in Youngstown, the son of Michael G. Diamantes and Marie Graham Diamantes Geamunane..

He was a 1976 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and served four years in the US Navy.

George was a member of Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church.

He enjoyed playing computer war games and motorcycle riding.  He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.  Above all, George enjoyed family gatherings and loved spending time with his son and grandchildren.

George will be deeply missed by his mother, Marie of Ontario, Canada, his son, George (Jessica) Diamantes Jr.; four brothers, Nick, Andy, Costandino and Michael Diamantes; two grandchildren, Destiny and Damien Diamantes; four wonderful nephews, and two nieces, who all loved him very much.

Besides his father, Michael, who passed away in 1979; he was preceded death by his daughter, Deserie Ann Marie McGee; his nephew, Nick; and his step-father, Thomas Stamati Geamunane, who passed away June 4, 2017.

The Diamantes family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Sunday from 2-4:00 p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home.
