John J. Okular, 62

Campbell….John J. Okular, 62, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 17, 2022 at Mercy Health, Youngstown.

John was born January 10, 1960, in Youngstown, the son of Theodore and Elizabeth "Betty" Adams Okular.

John was a graduate of Struthers High School.  He worked for Menichino Paving Company in New Castle for many years and also worked in the metal recycling industry.

He was of the Catholic Faith.

He was a member of the Lowellville Sportsman Club.

John enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter Charlotte and also spending time at his aunt's house.  He enjoyed riding around in his car and he also enjoyed watching hours of  M.A.S.H.

John leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter Natalie of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Charlotte and Alexander Huffman also of Pennsylvania; his brother Theodore L. Jr. (Deborah) of Coitsville and Jackie A. (Vincent) Stanko of Campbell; sister-in law Bonnie Okular of New Middletown; and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother Richard.

The Okular family has entrusted their loved one to the care of The Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Monday, June 6, 2022 from 4-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Services will be held at the end of visitation at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Swierz officiating.
