Campbell..........Funeral services will be held at 11am Monday morning at the Wasko Funeral Home, with Fr. Kevin Peters officiating, for Jon R. Yanno, 69 of Campbell, who passed away Wednesday afternoon with his family by his side.

Jon was born, March 8, 1949 in Youngstown, the son of Dominic R. and Irene Szpyt Yanno.

He was a 1967 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and attended the Youngstown State University Policy Academy.

Jon was a Sergeant on the City of Campbell Police Department; a member of the F.O.P; and greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and just being outdoors. He loved his motorcycle and all of his rescued animals.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Irene of Campbell; his life partner of 40 years, Sandy Sheehan of Campbell; a son, Patrick (Leslie) Sheehan; a daughter, Heather (Joe) Land; five grandchildren; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Dominic; his grandparents, John and Rose Yanno and John and Anellia Szpyt; and a special uncle, Mike Szpyt.

The Yanno family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5pm and again on Monday morning from 10 to 11am, prior to the 11am service at the funeral home.
