Kim M. Kesner, 66

POLAND… Kim M. Kesner, 66 passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.

Kim was born May 13, 1960 in Youngstown, Ohio and was a daughter of William J. and Geneva Liane (Vitullo) Rovder Sr.

She was a 1978 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to earn her Associates Degree in Nursing from Youngstown State University in 1982. She also received various certifications in Psych/Mental Health and Chemical Addictions over the years.

Kim was a Nurse for 42 plus years retiring in 2023; she began her nursing career at Woodside Receiving Hospital, TMH, Neil Kennedy and retired from New Day Recovery Clinic.

Kim was a lifelong area resident and Christian, affiliated with Poland United Methodist Church.

A devoted Cleveland Browns fan for more than 55 years, she was a regular blood donor and had donated more than 7 gallons of live saving blood over the years. She enjoyed trips to Geneva-on-the-Lake, spending time with her beloved cats Nigel and Marnie and cruising the world having been on more than 25 cruises, from Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean to Spain, Italy and Croatia. Daily she would feed the birds, squirrels, and deer.

Kim is survived by her step-daughter Elizabeth “Sarah” (Tim Chito) Kesner of Pulaski, PA., her grandson Joshua Kesner, great-grandchildren Nickolas and Harmony Kesner, her sister Geneen Montgomery of Canfield, her brother Daniel Rovder of Austintown; as well as her sister-in-law Susan Baltes-Rovder of Virginia. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews Morgan Montgomery, Even Montgomery, Alivia Rovder, Amanda Rovder, Alissa Rovder and Emily Rovder; brother-in-law, Dennis P. Kesner (Kathy) of Las Vegas.

Kim was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Jimmy Ray Warner whom she married August 20, 1993, died November 28, 1998. Her second husband Carl L. Kesner Jr., whom she married February 14, 2007, died August 15, 2024. She was also preceded in death by her brother William “Butch” Rovder Jr., and her foster brother Ronald Kessler.

The Kesner family has entrusted Kim’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio where calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 10-11am followed by a Memorial Service at 11am.

Kim will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
