Livia Mangiarelli, 87
Campbell…Livia Mangiarelli, 87, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Humility House, with her family by her side.
Livia was born March 26, 1936, in Sulmona, Italy, the daughter of Isacco and Nunziata (La Vella) Imperatore. Livia came to the United States on December 15, 1962.
She worked as a seamstress and later worked for the former St. Joseph the Provider Church and school in Campbell.
Livia was currently a parishioner of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish.
During her time at St. Joseph the Provider Church, Livia volunteered as a pierogi maker. She enjoyed baking cookies, making homemade pasta, and teaching others her Italian recipes and heritage.
Livia will be deeply missed and always remembered by her husband, Salvatore Mangiarelli; whom she married June 2, 1962, in Italy; her sons, Frank (Mona) Mangiarelli of Youngstown and Bruno (Lara) Mangiarelli of Winter Springs, Florida; her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, granddaughter Demetra (Justin) Nescott and great-granddaughter Sophia Nescott; and grandson Dante Mangiarelli; all of Winter Springs, Florida, granddaughter Stacey (Shane) Adams and great-grandson Malaki Adams, of Howland and grandson Brandon (Tracy) Behnke of Cortland; and her sister, Falvia Imperatore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Venanzio Imperatore; and her sister, Dora Imperatore.
Livia's family has entrusted her care to the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Friday, February 23, 2024, from 4-6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Prayers will be offered at 9:30 am on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, officiated by Rev. Matthew Zwilling.
The family would like to thank the staff of Humility House, especially her nurse Amber and the staff of Ohio Living Hospice.
