Louis J. Tofil, 77

CAMPBELL…Louis J. Tofil 77, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center in Columbiana, Ohio

Louis was born April 3, 1949 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Louis and Anna (Zifchak) Tofil.

He was a 1967 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and was a lifelong resident of the Youngstown area. Louis served in the Ohio National Guard from 1967 until 1973.

Louis married the love of his life, the former Jeanette Zetts on August 25, 1973 and they shared almost 53 years of marriage.

Louis worked as a skilled industrial painter and had also worked as a delivery truck driver.

He was of the Catholic faith.

Louis was an avid musician with a very skilled vocal ability and he played guitar. He played with Abby Road and EVB II. He enjoyed fishing, camping, working outdoors and watching old TV shows.

Louis will be deeply missed and always remembered by his wife, Jeanette Tofil of Campbell; his son, Stephen A. Tofil of Campbell and his sister Darlene (Don) Hileman of Canfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Tofil family has entrusted Louis' care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
