Marios M. Nicolaou, 66

Lowellville…Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 at 10:00 a.m. at the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, with Fr. Steve Denas officiating, for Marios M. Nicolaou, 66, who passed away Monday morning, October 22, 2018.

Marios was born September 29, 1952, in Nicosia, Cyprus, the son of Michael P. and Ero M. Mallotidou Nicolaou.

He was a 1970 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, where he was a member of the varsity football team.

He served his country in the US Army and continued his service as a Reserve for two additional years.

Marios worked for General Motors-Lordstown on the auto assembly line.

He was a member of Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church.

Marios was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was a motorcycle enthusiast and even enjoyed riding during the winter months.

Marios will be deeply missed by his mother, Ero Nicolaou of Campbell; his daughter, Sarah (Jennifer) Nicolaou of Columbus; his siblings, Pete (Dee-Dee) Nicolaou of Coitsville and Kathy Nicolaou; two nieces; a nephew; and his former wife, Susan Kraynack of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his father, Michael.

The Nicolaou family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends of the family on Tuesday morning from 9-10:00 a.m. at the church, prior to the 10:00 a.m. funeral service.
