Obituary

Mary Babich, 96

Campbell…Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Divine Liturgy at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, with Rev. Kevin Marks officiating, for Mary Babich, 96, who passed away at her home on Sunday, November 12.

Mary was born September 8, 1921, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Susan Liscko.  She attended Campbell Memorial High School.

Mary worked as a crane operator during WWII at Youngstown Sheet and Tube.  Later, she retired as a teachers' aide from Campbell's Adult Education Program, where she worked for over 20 years.

She was a parishioner of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church and a member of its' Infant Jesus Guild.

She enjoyed playing cards and participated in several card clubs in Campbell and Struthers.  Mary loved reading, crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite sports teams, the Indians, Browns and San Diego Chargers.

Mary will be deeply missed by her son, Bob Babich (Barbara) of San Diego; her sister, Ann Greer of South Bend, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Andrew Babich; and her brother, John Lisko.

The Babich family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Monday from 4-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
