Nancy (Frazis) Zetts, 72

CAMPBELL — Nancy (Frazis) Zetts, 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 surrounded by her family after a 20-month courageous battle with brain cancer. Nancy was born November 16, 1953, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Michael and Angeline (Pikos) Frazis.

She was a 1971 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. She remained a lifelong resident of Campbell and was deeply rooted in her family, Greek heritage, faith, and community.

On June 22, 1975, Nancy married the love of her life, Joseph Zetts, at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, with the Rev. George T. Pappas officiating. Together, they shared 51 wonderful years of marriage and raised their three children, Michael, Christopher, and Angelique.

Nancy taught at ABC Day Nursery alongside her sister Maria and they later co-owned and operated Step-into-Shape Fitness in Struthers. She most recently worked at CornerStone Medical with her godson Michael. A devoted parishioner of Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Campbell and Nativity of Christ Church in Youngstown, Nancy enjoyed being active in her church activities. Her faith was the center of her life. Nancy would always greet you with a smile and could make you laugh without even trying. She was quick witted, funny, feisty, and full of personality. At the same time, she was warm and welcomed everyone with open arms. She had a way of making people feel comfortable and at home. She was one of the most generous and hospitable people you’d ever meet.

If you came to her home, you would be entertained with stories, well fed, and likely sent home with a care package. She was always willing to help her family and friends, doing anything she could to ease a burden. She never hesitated to show up for the people she loved and gave so much of herself to those around her. You could always count on her presence, her support, and her love. Nancy loved cooking for her family and friends, especially her fila and Greek hamburgers. She also enjoyed going out to eat and shopping, frequently using her many gift cards. She loved Greek dancing and listening to Greek music. She was always talking on the phone, telling stories and catching up on the latest. Above all, Nancy treasured and protected her family, especially her kids. She was never shy about speaking up for them. She was a devoted mother and wife, a loving sister and loyal friend, and cherished being a grandmother. Her granddaughters, Caliope and Nicolette, held a very special place in her heart. In her later years, she became a mother figure to her many nieces and nephews and their children.

Nancy will be deeply missed and remembered by her husband of 51 years, Joseph; her children, Michael, Christopher and Angelique and fiancé Jordan Karzmer; her beloved granddaughters, Caliope and Nicolette; her sister, Christine (Tom) Patrick and her many cousins, godchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Angeline Frazis; her sisters, Ana Marantis, Katie Balale, and Maria Lambrinos; and her brothers-in-law, George Marantis, John Balale, and Ted Lambrinos.

The Zetts family has entrusted Nancy's care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church in Campbell. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by the Rev. Steve Denas.

Nancy will be laid to rest at Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Cemetery in Campbell.
