Patrick J. Phillips, 69

Liberty Township (Cincinnati)…Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, with Deacon Eugene Phillips officiating, for Patrick J. Phillips, 69, of Liberty Township (Cincinnati), formerly of Campbell, who passed away Friday afternoon with his family by his side.

Patrick was born August 15, 1947, in Youngstown, the son of Cyril and Mary Bobosh Phillips.  He was a 1965 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Youngstown State University.  Patrick also earned a MBA from YSU in 1977.

Patrick enjoyed a successful business career, having worked as a controller for Teledyne, and for GW Bliss Company in Ireland.  Later, Patrick taught Cost Accounting at Kent State University, where he was a member of the casual accounting faculty and he also worked at Jos A. Bank.

He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church in Liberty Township.

Patrick enjoyed sports, especially playing golf.  He was an "infamous" Pittsburgh Steelers fan and also liked watching baseball.  He especially cherished traveling with his son, watching him play for the University of Cincinnati baseball team.

Patrick will be forever missed by his wife, the former Constance (Connie) Hoover; whom he married September 9, 1972;  his son and daughter-in-law, Keith Patrick and Nicole Phillips of Cincinnati; his brother, Eugene Phillips, sister, Marion Zwinski, sister, Geraldine (Pete) Dubos, brother, Jerome (Eugenia) Phillips, his twin sister, Patty (Jim) Barno, and sister, Karen Phillips; and his grandchildren, Brody (age 4), Graeme (age 2) and Kate (8 months).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Mary.

The Phillips family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Wednesday from 11-12:00 p.m. at the funeral home, prior to the 12:00 p.m. funeral servi ce.
