Rita Anne Shaffer, 75 CAMPBELL - Funeral services will be held 9:30 a.m., Friday, morning at the Wasko Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at the Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider Catholic Church for, Rita Anne Shaffer, 75, who passed away early Tuesday morning. Rita was born Sept. 11, 1940, in Youngstown, the daughter of Mearl and Anne Spisak Boncyk. She was a 1958 graduate of East High School and a member of the church. Her husband, Fredrick Shaffer, whom she married on Oct. 21, 1961, passed away, Dec. 12, 2009. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Mark (Cathy) Shaffer, Fredrick (Kelly) Shaffer, Robert (Liana) Shaffer and Lisa (Bryan) Ivan; five grandchildren, Stephen Ivan, Louis Ivan, Rachel Shaffer, Anthony Shaffer and Austin Shaffer; one sister, Dolores (Ray) Stryzinski; sisters-in-law JoNell (Bob) Masse and Nancy (Noe) Longoria; and a brother-in-law, Buddy (Paula) McLaughlin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; and one brother, Jerome Boncyk. The family requests that monetary donations be made to Hospice of the Valley or the Christ the Good Shepherd Parish in Rita's name. The Shaffer family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends on Thursday evening from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.
