Teresa Blasko, 87

CAMPBELL…Funeral Services will be held at 10am Wednesday May 22, 2019 in the Wasko Funeral Home followed by a Divine Liturgy at 10:30 in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church with Fr. Mykhaylo Farynets officiating, for Teresa Blasko who passed away Friday May 17, 2019.

Teresa was born May 16, 1932 in Youngstown, the daughter of Fernando and Lila Cora Francisco.

She was a 1950 Graduate of East High School and had worked as a cashier with A & P. She went onto work at the GE Lamp Plant in Youngstown.

Teresa was a faithful and active member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, volunteering at the pirohy house, church festivals and fish fry's. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Byzantine Catholic Central School.

Teresa will always be remembered by her family for her selfless acts of kindness, her deep love and devotion to her family, and her passion for cooking and baking; especially her Spanish and Slovak dishes.

She was an avid Sports fan that never missed an opportunity to watch the Cleveland Indians, YSU and Ohio State football teams. But her greatest love was always her family.

Teresa leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Joseph of 58 years, whom she married May 21, 1960; her children, Karen Blasko of Campbell, John (Stacy) Blasko of Columbiana, Roseann (Dave) Marino of North Lima; her grandchildren, Anthony, Joshua and Maddie Marino, Luke and Julia Blasko. Her sister Carmen (Lee) Lazazzera, her brother Joseph (Marie) Francisco and many nieces and nephews; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Fernando Francisco Jr.

The Blasko family has entrusted the care of Teresa to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell where calling hours will be held on Tuesday May 21, 2019 from 5-8pm.
