Obituary

Violet "Vi" Aulisio, 88

Campbell…A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Lucy Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. Monsignor Peter Polando officiating, for Violet "Vi" Aulisio, 88, formerly of Sixth Street in Campbell, who passed away early Saturday morning at Vista Care Center of Boardman.

Vi was born June 20, 1929, the daughter of Alfonso and Teresa DeFelsibus Bragaloni and was a lifelong resident of Campbell.  She was a 1947 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School and after graduation, Vi worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Wansack for many years.

Besides being a homemaker, she was the owner and operator of Teresa's Villa in Campbell, along with her best friend and neighbor, Mary Facciobene.

Vi was a member of the former St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and it's Infant Jesus Guild.  She was also a member of the Mothers March of Dimes and the Mahoning County Ladies Democratic Club.

Vi always cherished the opportunity she had meeting John F. Kennedy at the Youngstown Airport in Vienna, when he was campaigning to become the 35th President of the United States.

She enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing poker and her visits to Mountaineer Casino.

Vi was known for her Italian cooking, especially her calamari and manicotti, which were everyone's favorites.  She always looked forward to Christmas Day, when she prepared a feast for her family, friends and employees.

She was very proud and loved spending time at her restaurant "Teresa's Villa" in Campbell.

Vi leaves to cherish her memory, her only son and his wife, Tom and Lucy Peters of Canfield; three grandchildren, Tara (Joe) Metzger of Youngstown, Tia Peters of West Palm Beach, and Thomas R. Peters of Canfield.  She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas D. Peters; her second husband, Fred Gallo; third husband, Anthony Aulisio; her brothers, Ben and Albert; and her sisters-in-law, June, Pina and Julia.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Vista Care Center of Boardman and the All Caring Hospice Group for the excellent care they provided.

In lieu of flowers and should friends desire, donations may be made in Vi's name to All Caring Hospice, 6715 Tippecanoe Rd., Suite B101, Canfield, OH, 44406.

Vi's family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Tuesday afternoon from 3-5:00 p.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Lucy's Catholic Church, 394 Tenney Ave., in Campbell.
