CAMPBELL…Ann M. Swierz, 100 passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025.

Ann was born December 30, 1924 in Campbell, Ohio, a daughter of Joseph and Sophia (Barilla) Kubus.

Ann married her husband, John Swierz on August 4, 1956 and they shared 30 years of marriage until his passing on October 7, 1986.

Ann worked at Youngstown Manufacturing for 4 years. She then became a homemaker until her retirement.

She was a member of The Ladies Jednota Branch 202 and The Men’s Jednota Branch 260.

Ann was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Elizabeth Church in Campbell, Ohio, later becoming Christ the Good Shepherd Parish.

Ann will be deeply missed and always remembered by her sister, Rose M. Kubus of Campbell, Ohio; her brother, Edward (Norma) Kubus of Campbell, Ohio, along with their children, Kathleen Craig, Karen Parenti and Ken (Barbara) Kubus; nephews, Lawrence A. Blasko, Edward T. Sefcik, and David L. Sefcik all of Campbell, Ohio; great- nephews, Justin Blasko, Joshua Blasko, both of Poland, Ohio, Kyle Kubus of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Chad Berton of Columbus. Ohio; great-niece, Kendall Kubus of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, along with many other nieces  and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Catherine E. Sefcik and (Husband) Thomas E. Sefcik, Emma L. Kubus, Helen Bukovina and (Husband) Joseph Bukovina, Mary Felt and (Husband) Nick Felt, Margaret Matarese and (Husband) Eugene Matarese;  brother, Joseph Kubus and (Wife) Irene Kubus.

The Swierz family has entrusted Ann’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio. Private Services were held

 Ann’s family would like to take a moment to express our sincerest appreciation for the excellent care provided by Woodlands at Austinwoods and Aventura at Humility House both of Austintown, Ohio during our family member’s stay. The professionalism, expertise, and compassion displayed by the entire staff have been outstanding.  From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice entrusting Ann’s care to your facility.  The dedication and kindness shown by the nursing staff, as well as the support staff in various departments is truly immeasurable. We would also like to extend a special thank you to all who went above and beyond their duties to ensure that Ann felt safe, comfortable, and valued throughout her stay. To all staff members involved in Ann’s care, your tireless efforts have not gone unnoticed.  Thank you all once again for your dedication and commitment to excellence.
