Ann M. Zajac, 90

STRUTHERS…Ann M. Zajac, 90 passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Monday, April 20, 2026.

Ann was born February 19, 1936 in Struthers, Ohio, a daughter of Joseph and Mary (Gavalier) Pavlicko and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1954 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School.

Ann married John P. Zajac, Jr. on November 17, 1962 and they shared 44 years of marriage until his passing on March 11, 2006.

Ann started her career right out of high school. She was a bookkeeper for Banner Supply from 1954-1963 and then went back to work for Banner Supply in 1973 and worked until 1983. From 1983-1989 she worked for Western Reserve Bank. Ann then worked for Anthony Vivo Deputy Clerk of Courts from 1989 until retiring in 2014 after 25 years of service.

Ann was a parishioner of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers where she sang in the church choir. She played the organ at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Ann was active in many church activities.

Ann will be deeply missed and always remembered by her son, John J. Zajac of Poland and her daughter, Lynn Ann Zajac of Struthers; a sister, Irene A. (Charles) Brosko of Austintown; a brother, Robert Pavlicko of Stuthers; sister-in-law, Marie Pavlicko of Struthers; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her husband and parents Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, Carmen, Frank, William, Emil, and twins, John and Steve and her sister Mary Novak.

The Zajac family has entrusted Ann’s care to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, Ohio where calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 5-7 pm.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 10:15am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers, Ohio officiated by Rev. Tom Kraszewski.

Ann will be laid to rest next to her husband in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville, Ohio.
